WeChat & Line on way to conquer European Apps and Market??

Move aside Facebook and Skype. Asian social networks, already hugely popular on their continent, have set their sights on Europe where they could prove stiff competition for their US rivals.
China's WeChat and Japan's Line, which let users make free calls, send instant messages and post funny short videos and photos, take attributes from Facebook, Skype and messaging application WhatsApp and roll them all together.

This week, Line executives traveled to France and Italy for a public relations offensive aimed at raising awareness of the mobile app, which already counts some 230 million users around the world including 47 million in Japan alone.

The social network has already taken root in other parts of Europe. In Spain, for instance, Line has forged heavyweight partnerships with football clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, brands such as Coca-Cola or tennis star Rafael Nadal.

FC Barcelona, for instance, has a home page on the app where it posts photos that has already drawn more than 8.2 million friends.

Line even has a permanent office in Spain, where it counts some 15 million users already.

A French version of the mobile app, meanwhile, is to be launched before the end of the year.
One of the main selling points for Line, which was launched at the beginning of 2011, is its "stickers" -- funny, cartoon-like figures that express emotions in a way deemed far more original and fun than traditional emoticons.

On WeChat, users can post figures that move about dancing, blowing kisses or punching the air. Both social networks also supply a selection of "stickers" that users have to pay for.
"We're betting a lot on this new form of communication with stickers," Sunny Kim, assistant director general of Line Europe and America, told AFP on a trip to Paris.
This part of the business represents 30% of Line's overall turnover and in July alone, users bought eight million euros ($10.8 million) worth of stickers.
The company makes the rest of its money on the sale of games integrated in the mobile app (50 percent) and from partnerships and products on the side.
Line's logo is green with a conversation bubble inside, and looks remarkably similar to the icon of WeChat, which began in January 2011.
Already translated into 19 languages, the social network has 500 million users, including 100 million outside of China, and plans to launch in France towards the end of the year.
While Line has Real Madrid, WeChat has enrolled the help of Argentinian football star Lionel Messi, who has become ambassador of the brand and has filmed a commercial for the social network.
But WeChat -- which belongs to China's web giant Tencent -- is also banking on the huge Chinese diaspora to expand.
"The French of Chinese origin or the Canadians of Chinese origin, for instance, are the bridge between China and the rest of the world," said Renaud Edouard-Baraud, who heads up an Asia consulting branch of the BNP-Paribas bank and advises WeChat.

Many brands keen to tap into the giant China market also have a presence on WeChat. Companies can for instance use geolocalisation to pinpoint the exact location of Chinese users when they are visiting Europe, and send them promotional offers to lure them into their shops.

Now use tablet with hands-free!!

A Swedish high-technology company, Tobii has reportedly developed an eye-tracking technology, especially meant for tablets, which can allow users to have a hands-free experience while using the device.

The technology called as the EyeMobile lets users control all of Windows with just eye movements.

The EyeMobile unit, which attaches to the tablet, contains a sensor bar, which uses two infrared cameras to locate the exact position of the user's eyes with incredible precision and speed and connects to the Windows Surface tablet or any Windows 8 tablet via USB, Fox News reports.

The eye-tracking interface requires the user to look at the menus and sub options for just a second in order to activate them and in order to swipe the screen, one needs to just look at any of them to open the menus.
If one needs to left click on anything, one is required to glance at the left mouse icon on the right then to any app or anywhere on the screen to open it.
The report added that in order to bring up Tobii's special keyboard, one needs to glance at the keyboard icon and begin typing and looking at each key will type that letter.
Although, the eye-learning might take some time for a user top get used to, the technology is especially a boon for those who have some kind physical disability or can only move their eyes.

The eye tracker inside the EyeMobile stand costs 3,900 dollars on its own, and the stand costs an additional 350 dollars and Tobii believes that if it can secure contracts and sell more of the units, then the price will fall, the report added.

Once you're in, you can enter data related to your cholesterol and blood glucose levels, keep a history of your allergies and medications, upload medical images; record your doctors' appointments, post your insurance and emergency contact details, and even chart your weight over the last three months and your blood pressure over the last half year.
The service works with myriad medical apps such as Fitbit, MHR India, HealthVault Connection Center, myFitnessCompanion, GetFit RoadTrip, Lab Test Results, etc. You can choose apps that add data to HealthVault and apps that use your data in HealthVault to help you stay motivated, analyze trends, and receive recommendations to keep you at your best.

2. My Life Check, Heart

You lead a sedentary life with horrible dietary habits, and you feel much older than you are. Well, if you're seeking to make a change in your lifestyle, then My Life Check, Heart is the go-to resource.

After you provide an e-mail ID, the site asks you to choose a resolution - get active, eat better, lose wait, stop smoking, control cholesterol, manage blood pressure, or reduce blood sugar - from a drop-down menu. You are then led to a simple, multiple-choice questionnaire (keep your blood pressure readings, cholesterol level information at hand) that helps you understand your current level of cardiovascular health, assess your personal health needs, and even encourages you to move closer to your health goal.
The quiz - based on the expertise of The American Heart Association - gauges your health status by studying the answers you have provided to questions that pertain to the 'Simple 7': blood pressure, blood cholesterol, blood sugar, smoking status, healthy weight, physical activity, and healthy diet.
My Life Check, Heart accordingly awards you a heart score (between 0-10 where 0 is worst case, and 10 is the best), and it also provides you with suggestions, or resolutions you can follow that will help you improve your Simple 7 scores. You are also presented with a printable "report card" to remind you of your resolutions.
Since maintaining your health is an ongoing process, the site recommends that you periodically return to assess you heart health regularly. A great way to keep an eye on that ticker of yours.

3. Fitocracy

Of course, to guarantee a healthy heart, you will need to get off your chair, and start working out. But starting an exercise regimen and then sticking to it are two different things. Fitocracy is a social network that motivates you to reach your fitness goals through community and personal guidance. Sign up for an account, and you are asked to choose your purpose: weight loss, strength training, cardio, etc.
After you choose, the service hooks you up with some 'friends' and 'groups' to help you on your way. It provides you with a Facebook-like profile page where you can create posts with text, pictures and videos.
Join a recommended group, and you are introduced to people who have goals similar to yours. Fitocracy also provides you with workout ideas, and you can save the routines you have successfully completed to plot your success.
You can read how everyone is coping, post your own progress, and even send words of encouragement to others, just like others will encourage you. And along the way, you can even earn achievement badges.
Ah yes, this health social network site even has its own apps for Android and iOS devices.

4. Heart Healthy Online
Heart Healthy Online is a great resource for those who have just suffered a heart attack, and also for those who are at risk of one.
It starts at the basics with a primer on how the heart works (function and facts), and it also includes an exhaustive glossary that takes the guesswork out of complicated doctor-speak (What is a stent? What are triglycerides? How is congestive heart failure different from regular heart failure?).
Furthermore, it is divided into sections that inform you about signs and symptoms (are those chest pains a sign of heartburn or a heart attack?), conditions and diseases (causes and treatments), and tests (health care, medications, etc).
HHO also provides you with information on cardiac rehab (tips for after you've had an attack) and even on how to manage your stress levels.
Best of all, realizing that dietary changes are one of the toughest to make for any patient, this resource is also home to healthy recipes, nutrition tips, and meal plans (soups, salad and sandwiches, top 10 power foods, 30-minute recipes, et al). And in case you're wondering, you can be assured that you're getting information that's up-to-date and accurate: HHO consults experts about the stories they publish, including their very own advisory team that includes scientists, specialist doctors, medical professors and dieticians. Ah yes, you can also sign up for a free newsletter that sends smart tips directly to your e-mail.

5. MyFitnessPal
You are what you eat. That extra samosa, the peanuts you munch, or even that slice of cake at the office party - all of it adds to your calorie intake. MyFitnessPal has a handy Calorie Counter that helps you record what you consume. First, you need to key in basic information like age, height, etc.
The app then asks if you want to maintain, decrease or increase your current weight. It also asks you about your lifestyle habits: whether it's sedentary, or if you have a more active schedule that involves moving about. Depending on your inputs, MyFitnessPal sets a daily calorie intake for you. After that, regularly update the app with the food you have eaten, and it automatically adds up the calories. Common Indian dishes like aloo paratha, medu wada and Maggi noodles are also listed. Besides, you can always add items manually.
You can also add your exercise routine, which is used to subtract the amount of calories burned from your daily total. Furthermore, you can track your progress with the app's reports.

6. Runkeeper
Many fitness studies extol the virtues of walking or running to keep the heart healthy and strong. What is required is an app like RunKeeper to keep a tab on your daily jogs. It uses your smartphone's GPS to map the route you take - and while it does this, it also measures the speed at which you are walking or cycling, in real time. With this information, Run-Keeper is able to calculate the distance you cover every day, giving you an estimate of the calories you have burned.
These logs can be referred to whenever required; all you need to do is create a RunKeeper account and set goals. The app also has its share of fun: It lets you control your music while on a run, take pictures along the way, and share personal achievements on social networks or with RunKeeper friends.

10 Best free photo editors

We've found 10 of the very best free photo editing apps, and whether you're looking for comprehensive editing power, ease of use, arty effects or just a quick way to spice up a photo before posting it on Facebook, there's something for you here.
1. Gimp
GIMP

GIMP (the GNU Image Manipulation Program) first appeared way back in 1996, and has been regularly updated ever since, so it's no surprise that the package is the most powerful free photo editor that you'll find anywhere.
There are tools to correct colours, enhance contrast, brightness and more; sharpen or blur an image, fix perspective problems, remove red-eye; add special lighting effects, turn a photo into an oil painting, and create an animation.
The paint tools alone are amazing, there's full layer support and lots of ways to extend the program.
All this power does mean GIMP takes a while to learn, but don't let that put you off - if you've any previous image editing experience then you'll be doing useful work within minutes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Paint.NET
PaintNet

It may not have anything like the power of GIMP, but there's still plenty to like about Paint.NET. It's strong on image editing basics, with options to resize and rotate your photos, a good range of selection and paint tools, and some excellent special effects.
Support for layers means you can apply your edits to part of an image only, and the program can be extended with plugins.
Best of all, though, Paint.NET's clear and straightforward interface means it's very easy to use, even if you're a complete graphics novice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. PhoXo
PhoXo

PhoXo has been around for almost 10 years now, and it's grown into a very useful editor with something for everyone. Kids can play around with the clipart, customising images with cartoon cats; practical types will enjoy options like the ability to add a custom watermark to an entire folder of images; and everyone else will appreciate the drawing and paint tools, image transformations, effects and more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Funny Photo Maker

Funny Photo Maker

Funny Photo Maker has no layer support, no smart selection tools, no paint or drawing options. But that doesn't matter, because what it does have is an amazing range of effects which you can apply in seconds.
So you can add someone's face to a movie poster, magazine cover or a dollar bill; transform a still image into an animation; add rain or snow to a photo, apply some excellent frames, and turn your photos into a collage, amongst many other options.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Photo Pos Pro

Photo Pos Pro Photo Editor
Its tiny toolbars and dated interface mean Photo Pos Pro doesn't look too promising, but begin to explore and you'll soon be impressed.
There are plenty of selection options, a wide range of paint tools, colour corrections and more.
You get reasonable support for layers and masks, lots of effects (all extremely configurable), and a scripting tool which helps you automate many editing tasks.
And the program offers some fun touches, too, like a set of "Magical" effects which help you add fireworks, bubbles, stardust or similar decorations to an image.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. PhotoScape

PhotoScape

PhotoScape won't appeal to editing experts - there's no layer support, for instance - but if you're just looking to have some quick fun with a photo then it's a very different story.
There are hundreds of clipart images ready to paste into your picture, for instance. You can add custom speech bubbles to an image, apply some great special effects, even create animated GIFs.
Most of these options are surprisingly configurable too. So while other tools might just have a single "turn this photo into an oil painting", for instance, PhotoScape supports 11 artistic styles (Pastel, Pencil, Cartoon, more), each of which can then be customised further.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. IrfanView
irfanview

As its name suggests, IrfanView is mostly about viewing images, but the program also includes more plenty of editing power.
You can rotate and resize an image, for instance; tweak its colours, brightness and contrast; add text captions or watermarks; sharpen your photo, remove red-eye, and apply a range of special effects.
If that's not enough, though, IrfanView can be extended via its support for 8Bf (Photoshop), AltaLux, Filter Factory and Filters Unlimited plugins. And all in a compact free tool which requires less than 2MB of disk space.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. PhotoFiltre

PhotoFiltre
While it's more an image retouching tool than a conventional editor (and it's only free for personal use), PhotoFiltre has plenty of editing features and it's capable of some spectacular results.
The PhotoMask tool alone, for instance, applies stylish contour and transparency effects to your image for an impressively artistic effect (check the program website for some great examples).
Elsewhere there are plenty of paint tools, colour corrections and filters, and overall the program is a great choice when you need more artistic editing options.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. PixBuilder Studio

PixBuilder
PixBuilder Studio is a useful mid-range photo editor with a strong focus on solid, practical features. So instead of cartoon clipart and arty effects you get sensible features like crop, resize and rotate options, plenty of colour correction tools, sharpness and blur filters and some capable print tools.
There's not a lot of fun here, then, but PixBuilder Studio is great it you just want to make your photos a little better (and 8BF filter support means the program can be extended if necessary).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Chasys Draw IES

Chasys

Look past its odd name and Chasys Draw IES proves to be a very capable photo editor with a stack of essential features: extensive paint and drawing tools, strong layer support, lots of smart special effects, plenty of colour and lighting adjustments, Photoshop plugin support, and more.
These are just some of the program's capabilities, though. You can also use it to create animations, CD or DVD labels, icons and cursors, or even capture videos of desktop activity.

With a RAW file processor, image viewer and converter also included, Chasys Draw IES really is an amazingly versatile package.

Apple's own cloud storage and sync solution even the iwork apps are integrated with icloud.

Microsoft's Office apps, require's an office 365 subscription to use the apps  launched for both Android and iPhone that are offered as a free download .The apps also offer the ability to sync documents to Microsoft's Skydrive cloud service. Best softwares for iOS Jailbreak

We hope that our previous post(s) were helpful. This post is regarding software's for iOS jailbreak.

For those of you who are new to jailbreaking and what it is, we had include a little info and advice before going into my picks. For those of you who are not new to the scene, skip on down.

Jailbreaking gives you so many new options on your iPhone! Before you jailbreak your phone, you only have access to iTunes and Apple’s apps. But jailbreaking your iPhone gives you the option to change almost everything about your phone, and you have Cydia, a whole new app store where most of the best stuff is actually free! And even when you do have to pay for an app, it is inexpensive. You can download lots more music (again, mostly free) and screen savers, pictures, etc. You can even make your iPhone look like an Android if you want! How awesome is that???

The jailbreaks we will talk about in a moment are easy to use, and even if you make a mistake you don’t have to worry because have a support team to help you if you get confused, which isn’t likely. You almost have to try to mess this thing up, even if you aren’t tech savvy.

One more thing, and this is important. Do not ever, ever try to use hacker guides you find online for jailbreaking your phone. They are confusing and if you make a mistake you risk bricking your phone. That means you may lose all of your apps, contacts, history, everything!!! Always use trusted software and you won’t have to worry about messing up your iPhone or it could a an expensive lesson for you.

Top ios7 jailbreaks
1. Jailbreak Unlock
This software for jailbreak doesn't more than 5 minutes to complete. Plus they have a 30 day, no questions asked, money back guarantee, so you really don’t have to risk anything. If for any reason you are unsatisfied, you can always go back to factory settings without any problem.

When you do the jailbreak, you also get unlock included in the price. Now that is something we haven’t seen anywhere else! Most of the time you get one or the other. Unlocking, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, means that you can use any carrier you want, as long as you get a sim card, and you don’t have to deal with contracts.

The jailbreak is very fast, the customer support is fantastic and the price is very reasonable.

2.Apple Unlocker

One word of warning if you do use this site, customer support isn’t too great. I have had to contact them a couple of times and because they have no phone number listed I had to contact them through email. It took them almost a full 24 hours to get back to me. That means I missed texts, calls, and couldn’t do anything else with my phone for that entire time. I wasn’t pleased.

They are decently priced, but they don’t offer all the little extras that come with Jailbreak Unlock, so I would really only backtrack to these guys if the Jailbreak Unlock site were down or otherwise unavailable.

To sum it up

Both are among the best Jailbreak Unlock. We recommend using their site if at all possible.

You can use the other jailbreaks like "iJailbreak Tool" without compromising your phone. However, you will get slower jailbreak time and customer support isn’t as reliable. Plus you won’t get the other bonuses like you will with Jailbreak Unlock.

Enjoy your apple gadgets to their full potential and stay tuned for more jugaad's.

Wisden Cricketers' Almanack- The Bible of Cricket

John Wisden (5 September 1826 – 5 April 1884) was an English cricketer who founded WISDON in 1864
Wisden Cricketers' Almanack (often referred to simply as Wisden or colloquially as "the Bible of Cricket") is a cricket reference book published annually in the United Kingdom. It is considered the world's most famous sports reference book The description "bible of cricket" was first used in the 1930s by Alec Waugh in a review for the London Mercury
In 2012, the Indian edition of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack was launched to widespread acclaim.

HISTORY:-
Wisden was founded in 1864 by the English cricketer John Wisden (1826–84) as a competitor to Fred Lillywhite's The Guide to Cricketers. Its annual publication has continued uninterrupted to the present day, making it the longest running sports annual in history. The sixth edition was the first published under its current title; the first five were published as The Cricketer's Almanack, with the apostrophe before the "s".
In 2013, a history of Wisden was published: The Little Wonder: The Remarkable History of Wisden, by Robert Winder. "The Little Wonder" was John Wisden's nickname.
EDITIONS:-
Wisden is a small-paged but a very thick book (over 1,500 pages in modern editions) with a distinctive bright yellow cover that it has carried since the 75th edition in 1938. Prior to that, covers varied between yellow, buff and salmon pink. That edition was also the first to display the famous woodcut of two cricketers, by Eric Ravilious,on its cover. It is published each April, just before the start of the English domestic cricket season. Since 2003 the woodcut has been replaced as the main feature of the front cover by a photograph of a current cricketer, but still appears albeit in a much reduced size.
It is produced in both hardcover and softcover. Since 2006, a larger format edition has been published on an experimental basis. This is said to be in response to requests from readers who find the print size of the standard edition hard to read. It is around twice the traditional size and was published in a limited edition of 5,000. It is not a large print book as such, as the print will still be of a size found in many standard books.
The format has changed markedly over the years. The first edition had only 112 pages yet found space to cover the dates of battles in the English Civil War, the winners of The Oaks and the rules of quoiting.
